Hanon Hōshō

Hanon Hōshō

This is the costume I made to enter the World Cosplay Summit preliminary contest held in France. My lovely partner in this adventure was Zédrielle, as Luchia Nanami. We chose to make our characters’ super idol costumes because they’re a bit more elaborate than the regular ones (more rustles ♥), and we loved them. I know I’m not exactly the type of cosplayer you’d expect to see in such a kawaii costume, but hell, why couldn’t I be cute once in a while? XD
Now what can I say except that we had a lot of fun rehearsing our performance, on which Zed and her mother had been working months before the con’ (basically all I had to do was to learn the steps!).

Saotome Alto

Saotome Alto

Comments: My friends Milady and Ariah were already BIG fans of MF when they asked me if I wanted to be the Alto to their Ranka and Sheryl. I didn’t know a thing about the Macross series, but since an already starry-eyed Milady kept telling me I would pull him off, I decided to watch the 25 episodes before making his regular pilot costume. I could have easily refused, as MF usually isn’t my kind of anime, but I loved that Milady and Ariah were already overly in-character 5 months before actually wearing the costumes. XD

Eternal Sailor Mercury

Eternal Sailor Mercury

Comments: This is a costume I made for Ichigo’s Eternal Sailor Moon group, which she had planned months (years?) before we actually started to work on the costumes. I’m not really a fan of Sailor Moon (don’t throw rocks), but I’ve always liked the artwork, and I thought the Eternal fukus were prettier than the regular ones. And why Mercury? Well, obviously I like blue, and short wigs are the win!
We originally had all the sailors + Cosmos and Galaxia, but three of the sailors couldn’t make it, and Galaxia got sick a few days before the con’! Such a pity. But we’ll definitely do a photoshoot with everyone as soon as possible.
